जॅकलीन फर्नांडीसने (Jacqueline Fernandez) समाजाच्या तळागाळात पोहोचून काम करण्यासाठी नुकतीच एका फाउंडेशनची सुरुवात केली. अभिनेत्रीद्वारे स्थापन करण्यात आलेल्या ‘यू ओनली लिव वन्स’ (वायओएलओ/YOLO) फाउंडेशन अनेक स्वयंसेवी संस्थांसोबत मिळून काम करणार आहे.
अभिनेत्रीने ‘रोटी बँक फाउंडेशन’सोबत मिळून एकत्रपणे काम करता यावे या उद्देशाने नुकतीच ‘रोटी बँक फाउंडेशन’च्या स्वयंपाकघराला भेट दिली. रोटी बँक टीम आणि आपली YOLO टीमसोबत जॅकलीनने त्या ठिकाणी जेवण बनवण्याच्या प्रक्रियेत सहयोग दिला आणि त्या माध्यमातून गरजूंना अन्न वाटप देखील केले.
या अनुभवाविषयी अभिनेत्रीने आपल्या सोशल मीडियावर लिहिले की,
“Mother Teresa once said, “Peace begins when the hungry are fed.”
I was truly humbled and inspired to visit Mumbai @rotibankfdn today, which is run by former Mumbai police commissioner Mr. D Sivanandan. Roti Bank has prepared and distributed meals to millions of hungry people till date, even during the pandemic.
They are the perfect example of what #kindnessbrigade aspires to do and I am honored to be of help to them during these times.
